Trauma Focused Therapy for Children, Adolescents & Families.
Based in Florida and New York, Elaine provides evidence based therapy to help you and your family heal from past and ongoing trauma.
In-person and virtual sessions available.
“I’m here to help you and your family live life once again with a feeling of empowerment, control and peace.”
Do you or a loved one struggle with the ongoing effects of trauma?
Is your child reacting in ways that are confusing?
Is your adolescent isolating or acting out?
Does your family struggle to communicate in ways that are helpful rather than hurtful?
Do you suspect your own past or present trauma may be impacting your most important relationships?
“If any of this resonates with you, my services are designed with you in mind.”
Through my years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families I’ve seen how high quality, trauma informed therapy really does work.
How I can help
If you or your child has experienced trauma such as abuse, disrupted attachment, sudden loss, or being witness to a loved one’s substance abuse, I am here to help. And if you are wondering how you or child can cope better with the challenging conditions associated with trauma - for example, anxiety, depression, dysregulation, inattention, or difficulty maintaining healthy relationships - I wholeheartedly want to let you know that there is hope.
Most of my clients feel relief in 1 or 2 sessions. This doesn’t mean that the work is complete or easy - but it does mean that you have taken that first important step for you and your family.
If you’d like to get started, I offer both virtual and in person sessions. Virtual sessions are convenient and effective, even for children as young as three years old. In person sessions are also offered, depending upon location. A “hybrid” model is also an option, which is a mix of both virtual and in person.
Reach out - and together we’ll find a way forward to help you and your family heal.
Hi, I’m Elaine …
Social work is a second career for me, and, like most people, key life experiences have shaped and influenced who I am, and lead me to my journey of becoming a therapist. My own therapy has shown me that it is possible to find help, to have hope, to heal, and to live life mindfully with both boundaries and joy.
